What's this?

This is the question that I always ask Little Lucas whenever he picks up an object or pointing to something.

Over time, he had learnt to associate quite a number of words with things that he sees
  • Eyes
  • "Ah" Book
  • Tortor (for turtle)
  • Star (this time is a toy.. not the cereal anymore)
  • Pish (for fish)
  • Tar (for car)
  • Tarky (for Poky the Biscuits)
  • Dai dai (for Gai Gai meaning going out, he will say this when he sees us changed or when he is carrying a bag during role playing)
  • Dis (meaning what's this & he is asking me what's the name of the object that he is holding or pointing to)
  • Pui Ba (fat meat.. he don't know the meaning of this, he just simply mimic the way we talk)
  • Beh (the Hokkien word for horse. Is my mum who taught him this word and I was taken aback by Little Lucas when he pronounce this word while we are watching a TV programme showing horses)

Our little conversation
Mummy: What's your name?
Little Lucas: Pish
Mummy: ??? (dunno who taught him that)
Mummy: How old are you?
Little Lucas: One (sometimes with his little index finger pointing out)
Mummy: Clever boy (grinning from ear to ear), good job Lucas!

This last one is the best.
Everyone should be very familiar with the Heineken advertisement.
Little Lucas loves it and he actually knows that there's a difference between the voices of the women and the men.
When the women are shouting, Little Lucas will follow using his high pitch voice. Then when it's the men's turn, he will change to his normal pitch!!!!!

Lucas.. Mummy is so proud of you!!

PS: I will try to post the video if I can ever capture all these :)

4 Bake in slow oven, 150C for 10 minutes

Cupcakes

Tried my hands on cupcakes as that's what my sis have been asking for. Easy to make & nice to eat. Very soft & moist.

Sis said it's nice and ask me to bake some for Lynn's birthday.
Here they are. Top with some sprinkles to make them look more pretty :)

Got this box from Phoon Huat, is a Wilton product. I love it!
